Under the management of Electronic Government Directorate a Web Portal for Government of Pakistan was developed in 2002. The primary purpose of this portal is to provide visibility of the services offered by the various Divisions of the federal government, and to allow easy access to public information pertaining to all Divisions. As part of this project, individual Division web sites were developed, that contain all the relevant information about these Divisions. Pakistan Information Networks was selected as an Implementing firm and was responsible for developing website for various divisions & ministries.
